Definition of Insanity

Tammy Talks Alot caught my attention solely because of her subtitle:

The definition of insanity is repeating the same action over and over expecting a different result.

First I giggled. Then I agreed. And then I disagreed. After all, some of my greatest insane efforts are because I continue trying the same thing over and over again hoping for *different* results and people label me crazy for it. I suppose the idea of expecting the same result is just as detrimental, though. Does that mean the true culprit is merely repeating the same actions over and over again then?
