One of the five things to be happy about from the calendar I mentioned was "a poetry reading." It prompted me to share a fun poem with you guys. Enjoy. My snowman had a lemon nose His teeth were candy lemon drops
My Snowman
by Neal Levin
And lemons for his ears.
His eyes were made of lemon slices,
Hair of lemon spears.
That smiled in the shade,
But then the sun came out and turned him
Into lemonade.
I'm posting mostly over at Quirky Cookery right now, where I play with my food and teach you to have fun with it, too. Come check me out?

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the picture. I live in Dallas and we got snow yesterday....for about 2 minutes. Big, fat, juicy flakes that promptly melted when they hit the ground.
My kids saw the flakes and my 4 year old immediately asked whether we had carrots for the snowman's nose. He has never actually made a snowman given that we've never had more than an inch of accumulated snow in his lifetime, but he's been learning about them in school. Perhaps a vacation to Colorado is in order....
