How to pronounce names correctly

I'm sure I could come up with some quirky story of how I mispronounced such-n-such name or hearing an embarrassing pronunciation here or there, but hey, we've all been there, I'm sure.

This site has a humongous database that can be searched in several different ways, and includes several languages. It loads really quick, so it's great to have on hand when you're making phones calls at work, for example, and don't want to mess up someone's name.

What a brilliant idea! It coulnd't find my name, though, or my husband's. (Or yours, or Hussein.)

Maybe they'll keep adding to the database.

It's about time someone did this! Maybe now people will start saying my name right. LASCURAIN is not that difficult, but people seem to struggle with it, and since I used to be JOHNSON, I'm not used to having to explain my name to EVERYBODY! I gave up and just let my students call me Ms. Kitty ... Much to their amusement.
