Okay, so it's a bit late for Thanksgiving stuff, but whatever....it's in the folder of things to blog, so it's getting blogged, whether you like it or not. :P
So Turducken, for those who don't know what it is (I certainly didn't) is, according to Wikipedia, this:
a de-boned turkey stuffed with a de-boned duck, which itself is stuffed with a small de-boned chicken. The name is a portamanteau of those ingredients, turkey, duck, and chicken. The cavity of the chicken and the rest of the gaps are filled with, at the very least, a highly seasoned breadcrumb mixture or sausage meat, although some versions have a different stuffing for each bird. Some recipes call for the turkey to be stuffed with a chicken which is then stuffed with a duckling.I want it! The picture above shows it covered in bacon, so I could do without that part, but I seriously want to try turducken now (a.k.a.-chucky, although I don't like the sound of that nearly as much). It's surely quite expensive, and I'll forget about this long before the opportunity to have it arises, but whatever. I still want it, lol. (And fyi, there's a whole history and analysis of the dish at that Wiki link....who knew? Okay, probably the people who are familiar with it, but other than that? Not me!)
