I'm posting mostly over at Quirky Cookery right now, where I play with my food and teach you to have fun with it, too. Come check me out?
There's a Hole in My Sidewalk--It's All About Choices
Posted by JessiThis is what I called blatant blog content theft....but I can't resist! After all, she stole the poem from the original author to post it anyway, right? And I'm giving her linky love, so it's okay, right? (Well, not so much, or all those splogs that link to the original blog, but whatever, I'm doing it anyway, hehe).
Pillows and Chocolate posted the poem below and I love it.
“There’s a Hole in my Sidewalk“, by Portia Nelson
Chapter 1.
I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I fall in.
I am lost…
I am helpless.
It isn’t my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.
Chapter 2.
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don’t see it.
I fall in again.
I can't believe I am in this same place.
But it isn’t my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.
Chapter 3.
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in… it's a habit.
But, my eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.
Chapter 4.
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.
Chapter 5.
I walk down another street.

There are quite a few and I am always amazed when I see them.
Sow a thought, and you reap an act
Sow an act, and you reap a habit
Sow a habit, and you reap a character
Sow a character, and you reap a destiny
So Sow
